Thunder rolls under heaven, and all things are in accord with the state of innocence. The ancient kings, in accordance with this, fostered the seasons and nourished all things.

Innocent action - fortune.
Do not act willfully; going forward brings good fortune—follow nature and all goes well.
Not harvesting while plowing - go.
Do not expect harvest from plowing, nor bounty from newly cleared fields; thus proceeding is beneficial—ask not about results, only about effort.
Unexpected calamity - cow taken.
Unexpected disaster—someone ties an ox by the roadside, a passerby leads it away, and the villagers suffer.
Perseverance - no blame.
Perseverance brings no misfortune.
Unexpected illness - no medicine, joy.
Unexpected illness heals without medicine—do not interfere with natural recovery.
Innocent action - action brings disaster.
Though not acting willfully, action still brings disaster, no benefit—when the time is unfavorable, do not force matters.
