Judgment

Radiance. Perseverance furthers.

Brightness rises twice: the image of the Clinging. Thus the great man continues his brightness and illuminates the four quarters.

Nine at start

Step carefully - respect brings no blame.

Steps are confused yet orderly; respectful caution brings no misfortune.

Six second

Yellow radiance - great fortune.

Yellow clinging—great good fortune—the way of centrality and gentleness.

Nine third

Sunset radiance - sigh at old age. Misfortune.

Clinging at sunset; if you do not beat the pot and sing, you will sigh in old age—misfortune—accept fate and be free from worry.

Nine fourth

Sudden arrival - blaze up, die down.

Sudden arrival, like a blazing fire, like death, like abandonment—comes quickly, goes quickly.

Six fifth

Tears flow - final fortune.

Tears flow like rain, sorrowful sighs, but ultimately good fortune—fear and caution bring good fortune.

Nine above

King uses force - behead leader, capture rest.

The king goes on campaign, beheads the enemy leader, captures those not of his kind—no misfortune.
