The wanderer. Small success.

Fire on the mountain: the image of THE WANDERER. Thus the superior man is clear and cautious in imposing punishments and does not prolong lawsuits.

Petty traveling - trouble.

In the journey, one fusses over trivial matters. This brings calamity upon oneself — when traveling, be generous.

Six second

Traveler finds lodging, wealth, servant.

In the journey, one finds lodging and carries money. One gains a faithful servant — the image of settling down while traveling.

Nine third

Traveler burns lodging - loses servant.

The lodging is burned, and the servant is lost. Persevere to guard against danger — encountering misfortune on the journey.

Nine fourth

Traveler finds shelter, tools - unhappy.

In the journey, one finds a place to stay and obtains money and tools, but the heart is still unhappy — a wanderer may find shelter but not peace of mind.

Six fifth

Shoot pheasant - lose arrow, final praise.

Shooting a pheasant, one arrow hits. In the end, one gains praise and a position — achieving something while traveling.

Nine above

Bird burns nest - first laugh, then weep. Misfortune.

The bird's nest is burned. The wanderer first laughs, then wails. The ox is lost in the field. Misfortune — pride leads to joy turning to sorrow.
